Ryan and I were able to enjoy possibly the nicest day of the year with this awesome couple on their boat on the bay. It was an amazing shoot. See for yourself... Enjoy. ..Greg

We get paid to do this?

Yesterday 500 brides and their posses descended on the Poland Springs Arena/ Ritacco Center at Toms River High School North for a bridal show put on by Wedding Set Go. So Greg, Ryan, Carmine, and I all headed over to set up a booth. Carmine is a friend of Greg who helped build our display (and it was sah-weet, see image below) Both Ryan and I were new comers to Bridal shows, but we had a blast. The title of this entry is "We get paid to do this?"  because part of the way through the day I found myself asking that. Not only do I love taking pictures, but I love meeting with and talking to new people. Anyone really within arm's reach, and we got to meet some really awesome brides to be (and a few of their groom to be counter-parts).  The reaction to our material was great, several people returned to the booth multiple times just to see more. It was a great feeling, getting to meet all these new interesting people that we can invest in, and hopefully give them the best possible experience for their wedding day. So if you were there and are reading this, that means you! Call us, really! I'm not kidding!

.Zoey Designed..In charge of our branding.

Zoey Designed is simply amazing. Carrie Beadle is the brain behind this company and I am loving what she has done for Endless Wave. She has re-branded us from top to bottom. She has designed our logo, business cards, bridal show banners, postcards, letterhead, envelopes, pricing, and how we present our pricing, and much more. She has basically become a part of endless wave studios! She is a creative talent, and is also designing our wedding invitations. She has been a real treat to work with, and has taken care of us every step of the way. She learned what we are all about, and applied that to a logo. She sent us several designs and by about the second day, she nailed the logo. From there it was easy to come up with the rest. I recommend Zoey Designed to everyone looking for that personal touch when it comes to any aspect of design. check out her site: zoeydesigned.com

.Christina And Greg. (couldn't leave this one out)
.christina and greg..e. shoot II.

Hello all! Ben Tapper here, one of the newest members to the Endlesswave studios. I am handling the photography end of things, and having a blast with it too. One of the great things about Endlesswave right now is both Greg (owner/cinematographer) and I are engaged and have our weddings coming up in 2010. It has been great meeting with couples, knowing exactly what they are starting to go through, their concerns, and the challenges they are facing in planning a wedding. It has been a really good point to meet people at. The other cool thing about that is we get to photo/video each other's wedding! On top of the wedding we are doing engagement shoots as well. This past wednesday Greg, Christina and I (and our fabulous tour guide Becky) roamed the halls of Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. This old defunct prison was home to famous criminals like Al Capone, and has been the set for movies, a sting album cover and much more. One thing I love about Endlesswave is our desire to push boundaries and try new things. All through the week when I told people I am doing an engagement shoot in a prison, i got shot some weird looks, but upon showing a few people the results the reactions were amazing. I will stop rambling now and just show you, look forward to hearing more from me and Greg here on the blog. -Ben

.renee and paul..and ben and greg..and dinner.

To say that renee and paul are unique to endless wave would be an understatement. The wedding that this couple has planned is going to be out of this world. The ceremony and reception will be held at the amazing Berkely in Asbury Park, NJ. This hotel was once one of johnny cash's favorite shore spots. He even had a wing of the hotel made into his own private suite.

So on wednesday, we all went to the hotel to see their vision. Ben, and I will be doing the photography and cinematography for the wedding and we want to spend this kind of time with couples to get the feel of what their desires really are. After walking though this amazing hotel, we had too many ideas in our heads to think straight, with their same day edit, photo session, introduction to their reception, and their feature all being topics of discussion.

So since our minds were so scrambled we decided a beer and a burger was the best thing for us...well, a daiquiri in renee's case. So we went to this great little place in Asbury Park, and ate, drank, and talked about that kid in the balloon.

This is what is making my life feel so amazing. I am not just filming weddings, I am making new friends.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this because it has been amazing getting to know all of you, and renee and paul are another couple that we get to be friends with. Thanks for a great evening guys!

.christina and greg..my engagement shoot.

Today, Ben Tapper took some amazing photos of my future wife and I. We went to Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, PA. It is an old prison that has been closed since 1970 and opened in 1829 I believe. We have been going there every year for over 3 years. We always do the daytime tour, to see all of the cells, and who lived in them over the years. It is so interesting and I recommend it to everyone! Then we always do the haunted house at night, which is just flat out scary! Renting out the prison for 2 hours this morning was an easy decision because we both just love going there every year so much! This is a teaser of just two great shots that we had taken this morning. Enjoy. ..greg

.stillmotion..mindcastle..endlesswave.

Yesterday was an incredible day for me. Greg and I attended an amazing combined effort between two of the industry's best studios, StillMotion as well as MindCastle. Patrick and Konrad from StillMotion, and Casey from Mindcastle put on an incredible workshop covering the art of making wedding films. In those few hours I learned too much to take in at once. Every second was so saturated with such inspiring information, and I honestly feel that I will approach every wedding from this day forward in a different way.

At one moment during the workshop Greg tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Did you see that?" I didn't see anything particularly amazing at the time. Greg told me that Casey, while standing next to Patrick, noticed that he was casting a shadow onto Patrick (who had the mic at the time). Realizing this, Casey simply took a step to the side to allow the light onto Patrick. Greg and I were both shocked by the minds of these artists. To be able to notice such a small, and what seems such an unimportant detail is really what makes these three guys the best in our industry.

After the presentation was over and everyone was getting their food, Patrick decided he wanted to go elsewhere for dinner. He invited Greg and I out to dinner with him, Konrad, and Casey. After searching for a nice place we finally found one with three other guys attending the workshop. The eight of us had a great time, eating great food, laughing, and bouncing ideas off one another. For me, it was truly an honor to be able to sit down and personally speak to these guys. It makes me want to tell a better story each and every time I shoot. Not only are these guys incredible story tellers, but they are some of the nicest and most fun to be around people I know.

.ginger and ed..a long, fun day.

Saturday I left my house by 6:30 in the morning, and Found myself shooting from 8 am 'till midnight and getting home around 1am Sunday...So it was a long day to say the least.

The good thing about the long day, is that it was spent with a great couple. We wound up at a castle after the ceremony and we picked up some truly amazing shots. I love having a place that I have never shot before, because it is so much more exciting! You look at it differently, like it is a character and not just a setting. This castle was huge! A beautiful structure with lots to offer visually. To say the least, we captured a lot of amazing footage.

On another note, today, October 11, is my brother's birthday. He is 32 today. It is wild how the years fly by and you realize that this funny guy that you have fought with, wrestled, punched once (by accident I swear), consoled, and loved, is the best big brother you could ask for. I think that sometimes we overlook the pure fact that your brother is the one who will be there when everyone else isn't. Doug is a good man, a great son, and the absolute best brother of all time. Nobody cares more than he does, and I know that will never change. Happy birthday Doug. See ya for cake.  :)

.danielle and adam..a collaborative trailer.

Jason Roberts of Digs Studio (digsstudio.com) in Las Vegas was kind enough to reach out to me a few months ago and voice his desire to pair up for a shoot. This weekend we did just that. On Thursday, I picked Jason up at the train station in Belmar, NJ (one block from our studio), and got to planning for the weekend. I was so happy to finally reconnect with one of the many amazing people that I met at the Still Motion Evolution Experience in January.

So On Saturday, Jason and I set out to film one of Endless Waves most enjoyable couples. Danielle and Adam come into the studio and we laugh pretty much the entire time they are with us. So naturally on Saturday at their wedding, we had a lot of laughs, especially while watching Step Brothers and trying to film the boys getting ready without laughing to much.

We really enjoyed the day and had a great photo session on some beautiful farm land and at the reception, we found a photo booth...we will post photos when they become available on the photo booth company's web site!

Till then, I would like to thank Jason Roberts, Digs Studios, and Danielle & Adam for everything this weekend.

Jason and I cut this trailer together last night and today, and we are so excited to get this online so soon for you. Enjoy

.tina and dan..the biggest compliment ever.

So, many of you have seen tina and dan's SDE, and E.Shoot. They were really happy with all the work we put in, and the care that was taken on their wedding day. We are always proud to be endless wave, but this makes it just a bit better. I want to share what tina and dan wrote  about us on weddingwire.com. This is a web site that allows a bride and groom to write review about professionals that they have used. We have 6 reviews so far, and would love to keep reviews like this coming. enjoy..

..

Oh where do we begin?????

We booked Greg Lassik to be our videographer a few days after getting engaged. Greg is a friend and we had no question that he would be the one. For months, we were obsessed with Greg's website. We would watch engagement/wedding shoot after engagement/wedding shoot. We were so excited and couldn't wait for our day to come!

Then Greg presented the idea of an engagement shoot, which we took full advantage of! We shot in Down Town Toms River and Seaside Park. His creativity is truly immeasurable! We were amazed by our video and decided that we would show it at the reception. (We also booked Sound Connection Entertainment who brought large LCD screens to play the video) Not only did the engagement shoot come out amazing, but we had so much fun shooting it. We really enjoyed ourselves! Our family loved the video as well!

We met before the wedding for final planning and Greg agreed to also do a photo montage with our baby pictures, etc. My God, this man just does not stop! His desire to constantly improve his work is obvious! His passion to do what he does is immeasurable! You can tell that Greg truly loves what he does!

So the wedding day has come, and we were so excited about all that Greg had to offer to our special day. We couldn't wait for our family to see the engagement shoot and photo montage. Excitement is not even the word! The reception was perfect! Everyone loved Greg's creativity and detail. Just when we thought that was it....Greg surprised us with a mind blowing "same day edit." For those of you that might not know what that is, bascially Greg was with us from 7:30am til about 12:00am (yes about a 18 hour day for him!!!). He edited the footage that he took throughout the day and summed it up to a five minute video for our guests to see at the end of the night. It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! It brought tears to our eyes. This truly was the cake topper for our special day. Everyone is still talking about it! Our guests cannot believe what they saw. When we first booked Greg, my Dad thought it was silly. He said "When are you ever going to watch that video, its a waste of money." Well, now that my Dad has seen the incredible result, he wants his own copy of the wedding to watch all of the time and he laughs at what he said when we first booked!!!!! (Mind you, my Dad is not easy to please!)

I highly, highly recomend Greg for any wedding. When I view other videographers' work, I have to say, no offense, but it does not even come close to Greg's creativity and ability. Greg is the MAN!!!!! If you don't believe us take a look at his website and you too will soon see how amazing this man is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Greg, You ROCK!!!!!! :)

.gerilynn and dexter..the reaction.

I want people to see a wonderful couple watch their entire wedding day unfold in front of their friends and family at their reception. This is what I love about my job. These people actually mean something to me. I don't have a mindless job. I have a career where I can meet new people all the time. This couple was one of the most amazing I have ever met.

So on top of their same day edit that ryan and i shot and edited, i had ryan cut together a split screen reaction today for the soul purpose of showing how endless wave studios and sound connection entertainment can bring your reception to the next level.

enjoy. ..greg

.gerilynn and dexter..a surprise same day edit.

Every once in a while you come across a couple who couldn't really be any more special. Geri and Dex are that couple. Ever since they came in to meet with Jason from Sound Connection Entertainment, and then us at the same time, they have warmed our hearts. They are just so in love. On top of being this in love, they also love what we are doing for them. Dexter, aka Funk Master Dex, has a special taste when it comes to his entertainment and cinematography, so he really chose what he loved. Dexter loved choosing us so much that he would spend hours in the studio just talking to us about anything! We really enjoyed every time he and Geri visited. So, tonight, in conjunction with Sound Connection Entertainment, Ryan and I premiered their surprise same day edit. I just had to give them this gift. Ryan Gordon was key in the SDE. He logged footage and edited while I drove, and he shot some amazing footage. He is a huge asset to Endless Wave Studios (soon to be the official new company name, with some new services). Thanks to Jason Jani for bringing his TVs as a gift to the couple. Without the TVs, the surprise SDE would never have happened.

Here is their SDE.

 Enjoy ..Greg
